COFFEE FARM: “Alto Bonito”
Don Jorge wakes up at 5 a.m. every morning to drink his coffee and watch the sunrise over the magnificent Los Farallones del Citará mountain range. His “Alto Bonito” farm sits at 1,850 meters MSL in a small village close to the picturesque town of Jardín (“garden” in English), Antioquia.
Here, coffee plants grow alongside walnut, peach palm, tangerine, and sapodilla trees.
The coffee produced in “Alto Bonito” is defined by its medium acidity, sweetness, and silky texture. Tasting notes of honey, caramel, and lemon stand out in this specialty coffee.
